Doris Marie Maurice
1936-2023
Doris Marie (Glen) Maurice, 87, of SeaTac, Washington passed away on September 23, 2023.
Born in Roseau, Minnesota on February 7, 1936, to Walter Glen and Ida (Mjellelli) Dore. Her family later relocated to Seattle where she attended West Seattle High School and met and married David Richard Maurice in 1956. Her first job was as a piano player in Littlers boutique in Seattle until she landed a position with airlines. First with PNA (Pacific NW Airlines) which then became Western Airlines and ultimately Delta airlines where she worked 35 years as a Reservations Manager.
She became a snowbird in retirement, splitting her time between Yuma, AZ and SeaTac, WA and loved spending time with family, warm weather, dancing, and of course the adventure of travel.
She is survived by her 4 children David D. Maurice (Annette), Deborah Caldwell (Ed), Dianne Jordan (Doug), and Darla Vannoy (William) and their families which include 8 Grandchildren Kurt, Michael, Ashley, Angelena, James, Anna, Joshua, and Taylor. 11 Great Grandchildren Patience, Andrea, Jayme, Jayson, Cheyanne, Kurt, Summer, Hunter, Grace, Carter, and Mason. And 4 Great -Great Grandchildren William, Jasmine, Zander, and Wyatt
We take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with our dad and other family members who proceeded her. In lieu of a funeral, the family will celebrate her life in Maui.
