Leonard Williams

Leonard Williams was born in New York in 1924 and passed away on October 25, 2019 in Seattle, Washington. He served in the US Army in the Pacific theater during World War II. Subsequently, he married Gladys Meyer, earned an engineering degree, and moved to Seattle, where he worked at Boeing for many years. Known for building his own gas-turbine-powered car, Lenny was an avid climber, skier and world traveler. He is survived by his three daughters, Susan, JoAnn, and Mary. A memorial will be held at the Des Moines Beach Park Founders Lodge on Sunday, November 17 at 2:30 pm. He will be interred with military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery on Monday, November 18 at 11:30 am.







Although Kent and Len didn't keep in contact the past few years, there was a special bond between them, lots of memories, and I think they are up there now welcoming each other and discussing past years. Thank you for letting me know. Good luck and God bless your family.....
