Dorothy Jill McArthur
Dorothy Jill McArthur passed away on January 23, 2017 after many years of struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in England on November 27, 1937 and grew up there. She married James McArthur and moved to the United States in 1965. She was dedicated wife, mother and friend. She volunteered for many organizations especially the Parent Teacher Association. She loved the outdoors, gardening and was an avid skier. One of the greatest joys of her life was her grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Jim, her parents Dorothy and Thomas and beloved brother Nigel. She is survived by her sister, Judy, her children, Jill, Anne and Andrew and their spouses, Tony, John and Christina and her grandchildren, Shawn, Kari, Sierra, Veronica and Roxanne. Miraculously, Jill’s passed coincided with what would have been the exact date of their fifty-second wedding anniversary. May they celebrate together in Heaven. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31 at 2:00pm at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 4805 NE 45 Street, Seattle, Washington 98105. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
