Walter J. Kastrup

Seattle, WA: May 19, 2016, age 73.

He is predeceased by his parents John and Emily (Chamberlain); brothers Jack and Karl. He is survived by his wife Carol (Conley); son Christian (Laura) of Vancouver, BC; daughter Emily (Jason) Walton of Seattle; sister Sharon (Henry) Wisniewski of Grants Pass, OR; 4 grandchildren: Eleanor, Sebastian, Rhys & Isla; nieces & nephews, and church families in Sodus, NY and Seattle.

Walter was born & raised in Philadelphia, PA. He was a career picture framer for 35+ years at Pittsford Picture Frame Company. He was a kind, generous man who loved family, church, music and outdoors. He gave of his time to his churches, Spiritfire band, Meals on Wheels, and Sodus Farmers’ Market. He was a long time resident of Sodus, NY. 

A remembrance and celebration will be held at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be made in his name to Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church, 3001 24th Avenue S., Seattle, WA 98144.
