CARL EDWARD JONES

 

Carl Edward Jones born in Wawawai, Wa. on Oct.29,1928, passed into the great fishing oceans of heaven on March 31,2020 from Parkinsons disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marilyn, bother Bob, son Bob and grandson Jeremy.

Carl served in the USAF and US Army after graduating from West Seattle High; during the Korean  conflict. He loved the Museum of Flight and was a loyal member. Carl worked in trucking,employed at Consolidated Freight, Willamette Heavy Haul,and many years with Acme Inter-City Freight.

His interests included Foster care, Boy scouts, Seattle Thunderbirds hockey fan and billet. He actively contributed his talents to Discover Burien and Cares Pet rescue.

For about 20 years Carl played football for the Seattle Cavaliers and also chartered his pride and joy M.V Weosum out of Lapush , Wa in the 70's and 80's.

Carl married Doris Koeplinger in 1958 and were married for 62 years. They raised 4 children Bill (Claudia) , Bob(Sue), Bruce(Bernadette), and Lynda.

They spent 20 years of retirement in Bucerias, Mexico and Yuma, Arizona during the winter months.

Carl is survived by Doris, sister Shyla Lonz, brother Tom Davis, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

We love you grandpa/great grandpa, we miss you so much. Can't wait to see you again, we will never forget the horse bites that would drop us to our knees in giggles. :+).
