Mildred Lee Ruggles
1923-2023
Mildred (Lee) Ruggles, 100 years old, of Federal Way, WA, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2023. Lee was born in rural Missouri in 1923 to George and Della Welch. Lee married the love of her life, John Charles Ruggles, in 1943 during World War II. After raising her family in the St. Louis suburbs, Lee enjoyed a quiet retirement with her husband for many years. In 1998 Lee and her daughter moved to Washington State and Lee resided in Federal Way for 25 years. She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Ruggles (Rory Sparhawk), Mary (Ed) Kanno, Nancy (Greg) Vogt, four grandchildren Hannah, Dylan, Lindsey, Allison and two great grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Lee chose to have no memorial or celebration of life. She loved and was loved as a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
