Carol Bucklin
Carol Bucklin passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on May 21st, 2019 in Shoreline, Wa. She was born on Nov. 29th,1926 in Spokane, Wa.
Carol met her future husband, Robert Bucklin while attending Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane. They married in their junior year at Washington State College (WSU).
After graduation, the couple made their way to the Seattle area and eventually settled on Bainbridge Island where they lived for 50 years.
Carol was a busy homemaker raising their four children and an active volunteer in their church.
The couple relocated to a retirement community in 2010 on the Kitsap Peninsula and when Bob passed away, Carol moved to Shoreline to be closer to family.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Laurie, sister Nancy, granddaughter Heidi, and husband Bob.
She is survived by daughter Nan (husband, Chris), daughter Jane, son Rob (wife, Annie), and 8 grandchildren Emily, Rowan, Max, Alex, Anthony, Katie, Ellie, and Hannah.
Her great grandchildren are Lilly, Kyleigh, Ava and Bo.
We will always remember the humor and fun of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We miss her smile and her twinkly brown eyes!
