Jodi Lynn Cox

March 9, 1964 - June 2, 2017

Jodi was born in Tacoma, WA to Terry and Bart Edmiston. She grew up in Puyallup and was one of four daughters. She graduated from Puyallup High in 1983.

Jodi always lived life to its fullest. She loved gardening, celebrating holidays, vacationing, baking, game nights, and hosting friends and family. Jodi was an easy person to know and love as she appreciated everyone.

Jodi will be deeply missed by all those that knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Steven (Randy) Cox, and children, Jerrett and Tori. She is also survived by her sisters, Kim (Marvin) Thompson, Cindy (Jeff) Larkin, Tammy (David) Heldt, many nieces and nephews, extended family & long-time friends. Preceded in death by her mom, Terry, dad, Bart, and grandmother, Bea Whitlock.

Jodi battled triple negative breast cancer beginning in March 2015. She was loved and supported by numerous friends and family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kaplan at Swedish Hospital for the outstanding care he provided during Jodi’s fight.

All family and friends are welcome to join us for a Celebration of Life at Randy and Jodi’s home on Saturday, June 10th at 3:00. A formal remembrance will take place at 3:30. In lieu of cut flowers the family would appreciate living plants or donations to the Dr. Kaplan Research Fund at Swedish Medical Center Foundation.

We loved your Wife and Mother. She will always be in our hearts. To know her as the uncomplaining and courageous person that she was makes us humble to the core. With much love

Jodi was a wonderful person to work with at St. Peter Hospital. She was always helpful and nice to me every time I saw her. She was also very competent at what she did at work. I have missed her at work over the past 2 years and I am so very sorry for your loss. She will be missed.
