Marjorie Lucille Baker Cronn

Marjorie Lucille Baker was born May 18, 1920 in Newberg Oregon and passed away on November 3, 2019 at the age of 99. She married Stuart Logan Cronn January 16, 1939 in Vancouver, Washington. They had two children, Robert Stuart Cronn and Steven Leroy Cronn. She was a homemaker who always had dahlias growing in the yard of the house that Stuart built. They moved into the house on April Fool’s Day, 1955. They lived in Seattle, Washington where Stuart was an engineering change coordinator for the Boeing Company. She was descended from Oregon pioneers of 1847, 1852 and 1865 who settled in Yamhill County, Oregon and was also a Mayflower and Jamestown descendant. Her father was Charles Verranus Baker, a master baggage man in Salem, Oregon for the Southern Pacific Railroad, and her Mother was Mary Lillian Janssen Baker. She had five brothers and four sisters (Charles Verranus, Carroll Vernon, Ronald Verle, Norman Velvin, Charles Edward, Dorothy Lucille Graber, Mary Glennys Bay, Donna Irene Lindburg), all but one of whom (Nancy Ann Toole) predeceased her.

She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife, Dagmar, and her son, Steven, and his wife, Janet. After Stuart’s death, she lived in Pullman, Washington, Bangor, Maine and Lake Orion, Michigan before returning to Seattle in 2007 where she died peacefully at the Sea Mar Community Care Center.

She was cremated at The Co-op Funeral Home of People’s Memorial and her ashes are interred at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Renton, Washington alongside her husband, Stuart.
