Born July 3, 1929, in Seattle, WA to Hazel & Florian Toepel. A graduate from the U of W with a degree in civil engineering, Bill was a lifelong Husky sports fan. He and wife Mary were married for 65 years. He is survived by his wife and 4 children, Steve (Cindi), Michael (Teresa), Camy, & Jim (Lisa) as well as 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was a dedicated father instilling a love of nature in the children hiking in the Cascades & camping at Westport while salmon fishing. Bill's other passion was singing in the choir at U Lutheran Church for over 50 years and as a member & song leader of Psi Upsilon fraternity. Celebration of life will be held at University Lutheran Church on June 8, 2019 at 10 a.m.
