Theresa Jeannot died on July 14 at 9:30 pm. She is preceded in death by her husband L. George Jeannot and sons, F. John Jeannot and Neil Russell. She was born in Hillsboro, Oregon in 1933.
She is survived by her sister and brother, Lorraine and Joseph Schneider, six children Thomas, Jeanne, Mary, Annie, Joey and Lisa, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Theresa and her family lived in Seattle where she was an active community member and parishioner at St. Joseph's Church on Capitol Hill for 57 years. She retired from her employment at Committee for Children after many years crusading for the safety and welfare of school-aged children. She was a loyal friend, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and coffee companion to diverse generations. She was an outspoken political advocate and adversary, lover of mystery stories, jigsaw puzzles, and quick service. She cherished her family above all else. Theresa is a much loved spirit who lived a passionate and laughter-filled life. She passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, ready to join her communion of saints.
There will be a vigil for her at 7pm Monday, July 18 at St. Joseph's Church, 732 18th Ave E.
Funeral services and Mass will be held Tuesday, July 19 at 5pm followed by a reception in St.Joseph's Social Hall.
