Shirley A. Hadley, an area resident for almost 20 years, died on October 3, 2014 in Seattle, Washington. She was 64 years old.
Born on October 10, 1949 in Savannah, Georgia, to Manning Jasper Stubbs and Eleanor M. Haskell, she graduated high school, and went on to study the art of photography, which would become her profession for many years. Her hobbies and passions also included poetry, cooking, and photography.
Shirley was a profoundly spiritual and loving person. Though she often experienced strife and conflict with her family, and experienced many traumatic events as a young woman in particular, she maintained a very positive attitude and was willing to forgive and to make amends herself. She loved fully, laughed often, and cried easily because her heart was always open.
Shirley is survived by her two sons, Mason Hadley of Olympia, Washington, Justin Hart of Renton, Washington, and her loving partner Brian Blackwood of Blaine, Washington.
Shirley's ashes will be scattered during a private family gathering in November.
