Rosemarie’s full life began May 16, 1924 and ended October 3, 2018 after a day of happy memories, surrounded by her entire family.
She is survived by her three children Stephen Syrjala (Katharine Hayner), Christine Syrjala (Donald Brooks), Karen Syrjala (John Llewellyn), six grandchildren Holly Brooks (Robert Whitney), Brian Brooks (Emily), Scott Brooks, Robin Brooks (Geoff Curtis), Eric Syrjala, Emily Syrjala, and her twin great-grandchildren Ruby Joy Whitney & Brooks Whitney, whom she was thrilled to meet. She was family for over 30 years with the Llewellyns, Challmans, and Crooks. She was preceded in death by her husband Eli Syrjala in 1986 and her parents Edward Michaelis and Elsa Brandt Michaelis.
Remembrances may be made in her name to Sight Connection, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, or a charity of your choice.
A memorial and celebration of her life will be held November 10, at 2:00 in Wisteria Hall, Graham Visitors Center, Washington Park Arboretum, 2300 Arboretum Dr E, Seattle, 98112.
