Ronald Eugene Kokesh was born to Frank and Helen Kokesh in Seattle, Washington on September 9th, 1930. He grew up in the Rainier Valley area of Seattle with his younger brother Robert (deceased). He attended St. Edwards Catholic Elementary School, Seattle Preparatory School and graduated from Seattle University majoring in English. He put himself through college working with his uncle cutting glass and fishing in Alaska. He excelled at baseball, writing and building airplane models. He wrote a sports column in the Seattle Prep newspaper named Under the Bench. Ron was noted for his creativity and beautifully stylized handwriting. He enjoyed reading and watching football every Sunday, practically as a second religion.

He married Elisa Morelli (deceased) in 1953; they had three children: Gina (Bill), John (Erin), and Ann (David) and eight grandchildren. He spent his career working in the surplus lines insurance business with several firms, including one he started.

He was active in his church while his children were in school and in Redmond Little League Baseball coaching his son’s little league team. Ron loved a good practical joke and telling stories. He was known for raising argument to an artform.

He died at the age of 90 on December 2nd, 2020.

Funeral services for Ronald Eugene Kokesh will be held on Friday, June 18th.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM:

Internment will take place, between 12:45 and 1:00 PM at Holyrood Cemetery.

Burial location is in the St. Stephen section, which is on the south side of the cemetery.
