Robert Campbell McIntosh died peacefully on February 3rd in Seattle, Washington at the age of 94. For the last 3 years, Robert has been a resident at the Foss Home and Village where his wife, Pauline is currently a resident.

Robert is survived by his children: Janet Loutey of Seattle, WA ; Larry McIntosh and his wife Anne of Sammamish, WA; and Brenda Twitchell and her husband David of Auburn, WA; and his grandchildren; Jordan McIntosh of Seattle, WA; Kyle McIntosh of Seattle, WA; Josh Loutey of Kent, WA; Kellie Twitchell of Auburn, WA; and Scott Twitchell of Auburn, WA; as well as a great grandchild Jack Loutey.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Duncan and Christina McIntosh; as well as his siblings, Duncan McIntosh, Hazel Dorsey, John McIntosh, Florence White, Lawrence McIntosh, and Catherine McIntosh.

Robert was born on April 19th, 1925 in Seattle, WA. He was raised in Marysville, WA where he graduated from Marysville High School in 1942. He joined the Navy in June of 1943 and served until April of 1946.

He met his wife, Pauline McIntosh (Westerlund ) after returning from the Navy, and married Pauline in 1948. Robert and Pauline built their home in Marysville where they raised their 3 children. Both Robert and Pauline were active members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

In 1960, Robert joined New York Life as a life insurance agent in Everett, WA. He spent several years with New York Life before starting his own insurance brokerage firm, McIntosh General Agencies. In 1970, he moved the company to Seattle.

Robert and Pauline eventually moved to the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle where they joined Magnolia Lutheran Church. In addition to Robert’s contribution to Magnolia Lutheran, he also served as a Board Member for Columbia Lutheran Home. Robert’s faith was always a very integral part of his life.

Robert and Pauline also loved to travel. They had the opportunity to travel to many exciting locations over the years including Greece, Austria, Sweden, Budapest, the Rhine River, Finland, Hawaii, Singapore, among others. They always had wonderful travel stories to share with family and friends.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Magnolia Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 15th. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert’s life.
