Aunt Nancy was an extraordinary woman. Beautiful, bright, hilarious, warm and loving. Did I mention hilarious? A live wire to be sure! Her laugh was contagious and she was far more deeply loved than she ever knew. She lived life on her terms and summoned strength, courage and humour in the face of the most challenging circumstances. When she and my dad, Jerry, got going there was laughter so raucous it lit up the room. I loved her irreverence and witty, biting humour. She was afraid of no one. You had to be quick to hold your own in a conversation with her. I loved her beyond measure. She often said what no one else had the courage or nerve to say. My kind of woman. Most important to me was her warmth and generosity. No matter how difficult life circumstances may have been, she could meet them with courage and humour. Beautiful, amazing Aunt Nancy, you have been and always will be right here with me. Rest in peace. My love shall always be with you.
