Myrtle Aspelund

Our beloved Myrtle passed away in her home on October 2, 2024 at the age of 92. She was a proud Norwegian, “Ya, sure you betcha” and enjoyed a good Ole & Lena joke.

She met her husband, Earl, of 70 years at Bert Lindgrens’ Dance Hall. They raised four kids together in their Seattle home. She was a wonderful wife and mother who was always there when her family needed her the most, offering support and love in abundance.

Myrtle, one of the kindest people of all time, never said a bad word about anyone and never complained. She was a loyal Mariners fan, enjoyed puttering in her backyard tending her flowers and took delight watching the hummingbirds at the feeder. She loved her husband, kids, grandkids, the color purple, cookies and chocolate.

She will be missed by her husband Earl, her kids: Randy (Karen), Arnie (Mary), Karl, Kristen (Lloyd), her grandkids: Nate (Allison), Kelsey, AJ, Allison, and Ryan. She is also survived by her brother Alan (Dorothy) and nephews Derek (Bonnie) and David. A private service will be held at a later date.
