Mavis A. Kepler, age 90, a resident of University Place, Wa, died on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at her daughter’s in Maple Valley, Wa. Mavis was born on December 28, 1923 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Clifford Larson and Alma (Thompson) Larson.
She Married Robert F Kepler on November 9th 1944. The couple raised 5 children. Robert F. Kepler Jr. (wife Paula) Connie K Gaylord, April M. Gentili, (Husband Gordon), Harry G. Kepler and Kim I Jezek (husband Gary) Mavis is survived by all her children, 14 Grand Children, and 14 Great Grand Children, and her favorite little partner Chloe. Greg Gaylord,(Wife Cindy) and Daughter Gracie and Allie. Gerald Gaylord, Daughter, Shawnee, and Son Hunter, Keith Kepler (Wife Amy) and Son Oliver, Erik Kepler, Son’s Ethan, and Collin, Anthony Gentili, (wife Isabel) Son Alexander and Daughter Nicole, James Gentili, Son Caden, Gina (Gentili) Hill, (husband Joe), Carie Williams, (husband Jim) Daughter’s Alissa and Ashlie and Son Isaiah, Kathryn Haithcox, (husband Bryan) and Son’s William and Bradley, Kristine Kepler, Angie (Kepler) Hansen (husband Dan), Harry (Kepler) Karney, Deanna Jezek and Anna Jezek (fiancé Terrence Koger).
Before Mavis went to be with the Lord, she had been reading Act Chapter 9. In this chapter it spoke of Peter reaching out to Tabitha who had died and he went and saw her and then saying take my hand and she was alive.
Mavis was an avid Bingo player she was always playing for that next big pot. She loved life and spent the majority of her life going to church and bible studies and praying for all those that needed her prayers. She loved all of her children and lived for all of them.
We all loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed.
Mavis’s husband Robert, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 24, 2014, at the North End Community Church at 3502 N Mullen, Tacoma, Wa
