John Palmer Smith, 88, died due to natural causes in Seattle, Washington on November 1, 2017.
Born January 25, 1929, in Newport, Oregon, John lived in Lake Oswego for 57 years. After earning his Bachelor's Degree at the Univeristy of Oregon, he became the owner of Franklin Institute of Sales in Portland for a number of years, and was a member of Multnomah Athletic Club, and Lake Oswego United Methodist Church. His passions included his family, helping people, skiing and swimming.
John is preceded in death by his daughter, Ada May McCormick. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Vishaka Smith of Shoreline, Washington; daughters and sons-in-law Andrea and Mike Alexander of Mountlake Terrace, Washington; Betsy and Mike Tulee of Shoreline Washington; and sister Mary Grafious of Seattle, Washington.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Lake Oswego United Methodist Church, (1855 South Shore Boulevard, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97034). Cremation arrangements handled by The Co-op Funeral Home of People's Memorial.
