John Carter, 75, of Renton, Washington passed away September 15th, 2023. Born on December 16th,1947 in Mainz Kotstheim, Germany, to Albert and Marie Carter. John Carter attended Garfield High School, moving to Ayer, Massachusetts his senior year where he graduated from Ayer High School. He then enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam War, but was honorably discharged a year into service after losing his newborn first child Eric Scott Carter to Leukemia. After serving he got into photography and went on to pursue his dream in the arts, creating several collage pieces and enrolling in several art programs and classes.  A jack of all trades, he worked many jobs throughout his life including his own Scrap Metal Business and as a Bouncer at the Eastlake Zoo Tavern. In his free time he enjoyed watching movies with his parrot Max, playing his guitar and was an avid rock hunter. He loved aviation and all things science fiction, going yearly to the McMinnville UFO Festival. John will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his firstborn son, Eric Scott Carter; his parents, Albert and Marie Carter and his brother, Melvin Carter.

John is survived by his son Dustin Carter, his daughter Elide Carter; sisters Ruby Schimert and Jannis Ghaddar; granddaughter Maija Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

John will be laid to rest with his parents and brother at Tahoma National Cemetery.
