Jeffrey Glenn Soule

d. March 11, 2023

Jeffrey Glenn Soule passed away on March 11th at the age of 70 at his home in Shoreline, Washington. He had suffered through many serious health issues for years, recently having had a stroke but ultimately passed from cardiovascular disease. Jeff proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. When he came home from the war, he bought an antique 1948 Dodge sedan which he restored and painted canary yellow. Jeff was very proud of that car, and later in life participated in several antique car shows with other vehicles he owned until he became unable to do so. Professionally, Jeff worked in the restaurant and hotel hospitality field, most notably at the Top of the Mark (Mark Hopkins) and the Hotel St. Francis in San Francisco before relocating to Los Angeles to open the Hotel Bonaventure. From California, Jeff moved to Washington State where he pursued his creative talents in commercial architectural design through his company, Soule & Associates in Seattle. While Jeff was artistic, he also enjoyed cooking and would put his culinary talents to work in the kitchen for family and friends during the holidays. Jeff was always a thoughtful and generous son and brother, never being one to let a special occasion pass without a card, a gift or at the very least a call. While always good natured, Jeff could be wickedly humorous at times too and enjoyed recanting stories from his past, always with a humorous twist. He's at peace now, gone and at rest as his father Robert James Soule did before him in 1997. Jeff is survived by his mother, Damaris Nelson Novotny, his brothers Tom (Gayle) Soule and James Soule and sister Elizabeth (Bruce) Pierson along with a step-sister Kim (Don) Chase and step-brother Tim (Elaine) Novotny, along with nephews and cousins. At his bequest, Jeff’s ashes shall be scattered and at final rest in Hudson, Ohio, a small town he lived at during his youth with family, and a place that was always close to his heart. While Jeff will be sorely missed by his family and friends, happy memories of him shall remain eternal.
