Jane Abrams Nintzel, 86, died on March 23, 2015 in her Seattle home following a long illness.
She is survived by her devoted husband Lloyd Charles Nintzel. The couple married on Oct. 20, 1984 and lived in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood where they enjoyed New York City's theaters, museums and restaurants. Following Lloyd's retirement from a career in financial services, they relocated to Seattle and settled in Queen Anne where they enjoyed a view of Elliott Bay. They had many adventures throughout their romance, indulging their mutual passion for travel both near and far.
Jane was born Oct. 23, 1928, in New Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of Arthur and Mae (Brown) Abrams. She was a graduate of New York University, and enjoyed a career as a travel writer for the New York Daily News and contributor to travel guides.
Jane made friends easily. She laughed often and was known for her sense of humor, as well as her fascination with the lives of her seven stepchildren and their families.
There will be no service. Jane requested that her ashes be scattered at a favorite spot near Puget Sound. Contributions to honor her memory can be made to the American Heart Association .
