Imogene “Jean” Melton passed away November 9, 2015 in Seattle, WA. Jean was born April 4th, 1933 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She and her beloved husband, James E. “Jim” Melton moved from Chattanooga to New Orleans in 1958. Jean and Jim were married 63 years. They moved to Seattle, WA in 2011 to be closer to their children, Michael and Linda. They were members of Jefferson United Methodist Church in Jefferson, Louisiana. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim, son, Michael E. Melton, daughter Linda G. Hinrichsen (Glenn), grandson Paul M. Hinrichsen (Corey Kneser), great grandson, Zachary James Hinrichsen, brother, James L. Jolly and lifelong friend, Joy Kincer. Preceded in death by her father, Eli Gibson and her mother, Beulah V. Chandler. A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 22nd at 2:00 pm at Columbia Lutheran Home, 4700 Phinney Ave., Seattle, WA.
