Hope Nicole Roberts, died unexpectedly in Seattle, Washington on April 19, 2020 at the age of 51.

Hope is survived by her aunt, Debra Kloehn of Sun City, Arizona, Aunt Sedonia Freeman Young and Uncle Roy Freeman Jr, and numerous cousins, her father, Earl Freeman, and his partner, Michelle Atkins as well as her “adopted” mom and sister, Diana Perey Winburn and Page Perey. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mardi Roberts, of Seattle Washington.

Hope was born on May 23, 1968 in Seattle, Washington to Mardi Roberts and Earl Freeman. She was a graduate of the Lakeside School, class of 1986. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and Finance in 1998 and a Bachelor of Commerce from Harris University in 2017. After serving as a
Financial Officer for RW Smith from 2006 to 2010, she was a co-founder and the vice president of her own company, SeattleFinTech & HR Financials. She held a FINRA (Finance Industry Regulatory Authority) Series 27 License, was a certified CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and a Microsoft Office Specialist.

In addition to her professional accomplishments and business savvy, Hope was an avid and accomplished gardener, a passionate dog owner, a lover of mystery novels, a runner, an exceptional chef, and a perpetual “projector” who was always working on things around her home. The grill was her specialty as anyone who ever had the opportunity to taste her ribs would confirm. She was a loyal and caring neighbor and friend, and an active and dedicated West Seattle community member. She frequently planned elaborate meals and holiday activities at her home for her friends and their children on holidays, regularly volunteered her
business expertise to West Seattle local businesses, and often coordinated fundraising activities for local organizations. She was a doting dog mom to her two award-winning black Labradors, Corbin and Ballou.

A celebration of life for Hope will be held when it is possible to gather friends and family. Until then, memories can be shared on the Peoples Memorial page.
