In loving memory of Ernesto...
Ernesto, 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines to Teodora Mejarito Guzman and Eladio Paredes Guzman.
Ernesto was the 7th child of eight children. The first thirteen years of his life was living in Mindoro and Manila, Philippines. He moved to Seattle, WA with his mother and two siblings, joining his father and two sisters already living in Seattle for couple years. Three siblings left behind in the Philippines arrived in Seattle a few months later, reuniting the family of ten once again.
Ernesto entered the U.S. Army shortly after high school and served for a few years. He acquired some college education, worked in Boeing as a mechanic and later became a general contractor.
Ernesto married in his mid 20s but lost his first wife shortly after their marriage in a tragic car accident. He remarried and sadly their marriage did not last forever. Regardless, he remained friends with his ex-wife and her family for their children.
Ernesto was known to have a good sense of humor with genuine smile. He was artistic, painted and drew impressive work in grade school and high school.Unfortunately, his art work was lost during his many moves.
Ernesto was a man of skills, crafted cabinets and drawers that were functional. He was a skilled electrician that brought light and music to homes, repaired car engines and diagnosed issues. He was generous even when he had little to give and protective of his family. He was also friendly and welcoming to new friends to the family.
Ernesto was proud and private that the family did not know he had a cardiac disease. He only sought help when he was in excruciating pain and dire need. His life was too short and less than perfect but his good memory will linger on...teaching us that life is precious, and we shall always follow the path of kindness to anyone in need.
Ernesto was preceded by his parents and survived by his three children Allison,Marissa, Gabriel, (Nate ex-wife son), grandchild Abel; siblings Victoria (Randy),Maria (Edward), Luisa (Aaron), Eladio Jr. (Helen), Robert (Mylene), Elena(Nacer), Anita (Dan); nephews and nieces Warren (Laureen), Elena (Justin),Justin (Bree), Zachary (Christina), Shalena (Michael), Jamel, Carina, Chavel, Lucy(special furry niece); great nephews and nieces Matayah, Jaiden, Christian,Quinton, Peyton, Rowen, Isaiah, Avary, Jordan, Grace and Evelyn; numerous relatives and special friends of family.
Rest in peace Ernesto... your hands built more than cabinets and repaired engines - they built a legacy of love and craftsmanships. We love you Estoy (family nickname), son, brother, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Cousin, Pinsan (cousin in Tagalog), Friend, Pare (buddy in Tagalog) and our brave soldier... until our next happy meeting.
