David Brooke White, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in Seattle, WA after a long illness. David was born August 16, 1940 in Portland, OR to Madeline Kriskie and David Brooke White. He attended school at North Thurston High School in Olympia, WA and was in the 1st graduating class of 1959. He also attended Green River Community College, in Auburn, WA and L.H. Bates Vocational Technical School in Tacoma, WA where he studied Television Production. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1965, as well as, a year with the Army National Guard earning an Honorable Discharge. He toured in Korea, Germany and various U.S. locations. He worked for the Federal Protective Service which became Homeland Security as a uniformed Police Officer at the Jackson Federal Building in Seattle, WA and then was promoted to Security Specialist in Auburn, WA. His first job was working at a bowling alley in Olympia, WA as a pin setter. He worked various other jobs for Boeing, Cascade Natural Gas and Seafirst. David was known for his great sense of humor, quick wit and great comebacks. He was most passionate about his yard, garden and dogs. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Leanna (Hunt) White; three sons Scott (Julie), Jim (Rosa) & Andrew; daughter, Kim (Johnny); stepson, Everett Greenup (Shelly); stepdaughter, Margie Greenup (Phil); and his many grandchildren (Amanda, Alyssa, Sabrina, Tony, Nick, Tyler, Matthew) and great-grandchildren (Lucas, Tristan, Alison, Teagan, Wyatt, Jace). David is survived by his sister, Barbara (Jerry) Parker (Swartz Creek, MI); half-sister, Pam (Peter) White (Vancouver Island, Canada) and half-brother, Brooke (Laura) White (Vancouver Island, Canada). David is preceded in death by his sisters Ruby Mobey, Mary Patricia McMurray and Catherine Townley. David will be laid to rest Tuesday, April 2 with family by his side at Washington Memorial Park in Seatac, WA.
