The couple married on July 21, 1956, in Stevensville Montana and soon afterward moved to Alberta Canada where their first son was born. They returned to Montana in 1959 where their second and third sons were born.
The family moved to Washington where Bob began his 30+ year career in teaching and coaching. While they lived in eastern Washington, Barbara completed her bachelor’s degree and received her teaching certificate. They spent the remainder of their careers with the Federal Way School District during which time Barbara completed her Masters degree in Library Science. Barbara retired in 1996, and spent her time sewing, quilting, volunteering at the Washington Historical Museum and traveling extensively with Bob.
They were married for 58 years. Bob passed away in the fall of 2014.
Barbara was survived by her sisters Joan and Linda and her brother Brian; her sons Jim (Joan), Gordon (Lillia) and Mark, her grandchildren Remy, Mike and Breanna.
