PEOPLE’S MEMORIAL strongly encourages everyone to get their end-of life affairs in order–particularly their funeral arrangements. Planning ahead is the best way to assure that you have the send-off you want at a price that does not break your family’s budget. Failure to do so can cause your survivors to go through unnecessary stress as well as potentially spend thousands of dollars more than necessary. By taking a few moments to plan ahead, your survivors can have the peace of mind of knowing that your wishes are honored as well as being spared any more stress and confusion than necessary at such a difficult time. Getting your cremation or burial plans in order can be a great gift and comfort to those you leave behind.
Leave an important legacy–Take the time to talk with them about your decisions and educate them about how to do the same for themselves and their loved ones. The two unavoidables in life are death and taxes. Modeling proactive behavior and teaching others about being prepared for the inevitable is a great kindness that will be remembered long after you’re gone.
