Leola Bailey, divorced, died peacefully on April 27, 2014 at Maricris Tugade Adult Family Home in Seattle, due to illness and age. She was less than 3 months shy of her 98th birthday. She was born on July 16, 1916, in Camden, Arkansas. She is survived by a son Maurice H. Bailey and wide extended family of many. She is preceded in death by a son Marcellus A. Smith.

She took pride in being a lifetime member of National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Seattle.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014, 11:00 am at Mount Zion Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Seattle Section of NCNW, P.O. Box 18592, Seattle, WA 98144.
