Mary Beth Anslow Davis went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9th at 9:00pm. Mary was born on February 28th, 1927 in Seattle, Washington to Bernice and Elsworth L. Anslow who preceded her in death along with her twin brother John and youngest sister, Helen. She is survived by sisters Grace Campbell and Lois Albee, and two brothers-in-law, Peter Albee and John Foster, and one sister-in-law Emily Anslow. She is also loved by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Mary Beth worked for Swedish Hospital Public Health Department and Providence Home Care. In 1956, she traveled to Japan where she worked in a U.S. Army Hospital. This experience tweaked her interest in travel and she visited many countries with her good friend Ruth Shipp-Dart.
She enjoyed classical music, opera, theater and sporting events, and loved volunteering at PAWS, where she cared for many cats and kittens. Her own cats Pug and Ebony were her loving companions.
Mary Beth was a long-time member of Magnolia United Methodist Church where she attended Bible Study Fellowship, sang in the choir, and helped with serving communion.
She graduated from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington and Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing.
A memorial service will be held on April 29th at 2:00pm at Magnolia United Methodist Church, with internment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Magnolia United Methodist Church, PAWS, Union Gospel Mission, Young Life, or your favorite charity.
