Helen Catherine (Koleff) Fisher was born to Joseph and Anna in Great Falls Montana. Helen married William E Fisher in Great Falls on June 25, 1949 and began a journey across many towns and states during the course of their marriage. She was completely devoted to her husband and a happily working mother in the banking industry most of her life. Helen moved to Foss Home & Village in Seattle from Pendleton Oregon in October 2010 to be close to her daughters after a series of falls and the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. She passed away with peacefully with family at her side.
Helen leaves behind her husband William of 63 years and her 3 daughters; Diane LeVeque of Great Falls, MT; Billie Jean Fisher and Penny Larsen, both of Seattle. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Dale and Jim Fisher and her 6 siblings.
Helen was loved by all her knew her. Her resolve in the face of much personal trauma and tragedy, and her love of family are her legacy to those she leaves behind. She wanted everyone to be happy and everything to be okay! She delighted in the simple things of life. Her smile, laugh and easy-going way will be missed, but never forgotten.
We give many thanks to the staff at Foss Home & Village for their dedicated care during her last months. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to her kind and loving friends, Beth and Tammi, who cared for Helen in Pendleton. May her sweet, gentle soul rest and experience freedom and peace.
